The lesser known predecessor of the famous P-40 found her moment in history as she struggled to defend Pearl Harbour against the Japanese. They even claimed the first US air to air kill in those heroic minutes.
Despite the short tail moment, the careful design of this Hawk has resulted in a forgiving model that will hold no nasty surprises. It’s a menacing presence in the air as soon as you have retracted the undercarriage. Then when it’s time to land you’ve got the added bonus of effective flaps to help you down and impeccable low speed manners to go with it. Accurately build from laser cut parts and covered in Oracover, she also features a beautiful GRP cowling.
